Access to Language Services will not stop and our team is actually working very hard to maintain service levels. Safety is something that we at Interpreters and Translators, Inc. (iTi) take seriously, and our partnerships are crucial in keeping the people we serve safe. We are taking the necessary precautions to keep our communities, our employees, our suppliers, and our clients safe in light of the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) worldwide. Last week, we sent an email to our suppliers and partners outlining the precautionary measures that are now in place, which are in line with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
We also want to assure you that we are here for you to work on any type of translation or interpretation request you need in relation to COVID-19. Due to our business model, we already operate mostly in a virtual fashion with all linguists – interpreters and translators – working on your projects, assignments and audio/video calls remotely. In addition to linguists working remotely, we have flawlessly executed our Business Continuity Plan where a blend of employees are working remotely while others are physically working from our offices.
Rest assured that our service levels are being maintained and continuously monitored. Our recruiting teams are working hard to ensure every language is available when you need it – both on-demand and prescheduled.
Although we are experiencing higher than normal call volume both through our phone and video call centers, we are keeping up with the demand and adding resources as needed in real time.
We realize that many meetings are getting rescheduled until further notice. If you are simply not meeting with clients/patients in person and you are meeting via Teleconference or Video, iTi has a very robust and secure on-demand interpreting platform that can help connect an interpreter in any language through video conference or a phone call.

We are still filling many assignments every day; however, we understand if cancelling appointments and assignments is the best thing for everyone’s safety and health. iTi is waiving all cancellation fees on prescheduled in-person appointments due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and we hope to reschedule at the same time a cancellation is made. Of course, we understand if no rescheduling is possible at this time of uncertainty and look forward to serving you in any other way we can.
