A telephonic interpreting session is essentially a 3-way conference call with a language specialist. A telephonic interpreter can help you communicate with people who speak languages you don’t understand and help those people communicate with you. The only difference between an in-person interpreter and a telephonic interpreter is that the telephonic interpreter provides interpreting service over the phone, while the in-person interpreter is physically present at the interpreting session.
