Yesterday, I went out on a home visit with Miss O'Neil (Portuguese interpreter). She was awesome! I was definitely impressed, and it was probably one of my best experiences yet with ITI. Elby Pagano, a native of Puerto Rico, founded Interpreters and Translators, Inc. in 1986 and currently serves as company Chief Executive Officer. Prior to starting the company, Pagano was the Chief Court Interpreter for the State of Connecticut Judicial Department for almost 10 years. Building iTi from the ground up was a great challenge. With her unwavering commitment to customer service and quality, Pagano has succeeded in establishing a broad and loyal client base. Pagano currently oversees strategic planning and corporate development for both the company headquarters in Connecticut and iTi’s branch office in Puerto Rico. Pagano is currently on the Advisory Board at Stone Academy and is a member of the Association of Language Companies and of the American Translators Association.
As President, Francesco Pagano is responsible for iTi’s overall growth and strategic direction. As a seasoned language services professional, he has been instrumental in adding to iTi’s line of services and ensuring that iTi maintains its strategic position of leadership in the industry. Francesco currently serves on the Leadership Council for the Association of Language Companies and is also serving in the capacity of Co-Chair to the Language Services Committee with the Connecticut Multicultural Health Partnership.
As Chief Operating Officer, Jim Love is responsible for iTi's day-to-day operations and for incorporating innovative technology solutions for multilingual communication. As a seasoned business manager, he has been instrumental in creating iTi's strategic growth plans. Jim has provided leadership at Eastern Hospitality, Starbucks, Marriott and Kahala while developing new products and territories in the Eastern United States.
As Director of Interpreter Services, Kalie Chartier is responsible for the day-to-day operations in the Interpreting Department. Kalie has demonstrated superior leadership skills and implemented countless procedures within her department to increase effectiveness, efficiency and quality of work. Her emphasis on customer service has allowed iTi to continue to grow and excel as a leading language service provider.
Beate has created many of the quality assurance processes that we use for every translation request. Additionally, she has implemented our new project management and translation management technology to increase turnaround times while maintaining an exacting quality product. She has gained her experience and knowledge of the language industry by her strong linguistic background, providing freelance translation services before joining iTi and also by working as a language specialist around the world including Germany and Ireland. She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut where she earned a Master of Arts degree in German Studies and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Translation Studies from the University of Mainz in Germany, an ATA-approved and internationally accredited school for translation and interpretation.
As Account Manager, Kathryn Howroyd is responsible for growing iTi’s business units by working with existing clients. Her industry knowledge and varied work experience within the company allows Kathryn to fully understand the needs of her clients. Her emphasis on customer service and attention to detail makes Kathryn critical to the success of iTi. She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut.
As Marketing Manager, Annie Pagano is responsible for all of iTi's marketing activities including direct mail campaigns, blast e-mail campaigns, and social media marketing. Annie works closely with the sales team in order to develop new campaigns in order to generate new leads.
Annie is also responsible for maintaining the client database as well as the website's content and design. She earned a Bachelor's of Science degree from the University of Denver for international business and marketing. While attending school in Denver she had a sales and marketing internship with the ski company Icelantic throughout 2011 and 2012. She also gained international experience while living in Madrid, Spain in 2010 and again in 2013.
