ITI’s in-person interpreting services are used by elementary schools, high schools, colleges and universities. At elementary and high schools, interpreters are often called upon to assist with parent-student interviews or intervention. Having a professional interpreter rather than relying on a family member to translate is often the best course of action when dealing with sensitive issues. ITI interpreters remain objective and, as a result, can convey information appropriately. For some special situations, ITI in-person interpreters have also been scheduled to regularly attend classes with a particular student, interpreting the English language information for him or her. These situations are usually for at-risk students or for students who have mental or learning disabilities. Under these circumstances,
one or two interpreters are assigned to assist the student every day for an established period of time. Colleges and universities use in-person interpreters at public events like conferences or round table discussions. In these
situations, the interpreter helps the speaker or lecturer communicate to a broader audience.

Many educational institutions are making use of ITI professional translation services to meet the needs of their increasingly multicultural student bodies. School announcements of events, public notices, academic offerings and other important documents can be professionally translated into one or multiple languages. Foreign students often need their personal academic transcripts translated into English. ITI provides accurate and notarized translations of many official documents, including: school transcripts, degrees, birth certificates and immigration papers.
